Hey everyone, Matt Averyhart coming to ya live! So, I’ve been into working out since I could wiggle my toes and I haven’t been able to stop since. For some of you, creating a sustainable workout routine may be like eating and breathing, while for others it is like sailing uncharted waters - Ambiguous and daunting. I’m here to get you through creating a sustainable workout routine that can fit a multitude of workout lifestyle levels.
Ready. Get set. GO!
Get GOAL SPECIFIC: Why do you want to work out? Are you trying to adopt a healthier lifestyle? Are you wanting to trim off some baby weight? Straight up gainz? - Whatever your reason is, always keep your goal in mind. If you ever lose sight or direction, your goal will bring you back to focus.
Make INCREMENTAL PROGRESS: The excitement of starting anything new can easily be short lived, and you may have heard of plateauing in the middle of a workout regime. Remember my philosophy of...go hard, but not too hard. Give your body time to thoroughly grow through this journey of getting to your goal. I can not stress enough how patience and ongoing dedication is key in body and mind transformation.
Treat training like your PRIORITY: Yes, we all have things that may come up in our days that may knock that scheduled workout time forward or back a bit. There is always time in your day for the important things. Have time to wake up, shower, eat, and get to work? Then you have time for a workout that will be beneficial for your LIFE (to be able to do all of the above)! My clients know that 10 minutes is all that’s needed for an insanely effective workout, believe it!
DE-COMPLICATE and FOCUS your life: To see the results you desire, you must change your routine (that wasn’t working for you before). If this means you going out to eat less, or going out less period to allow your time to be focused on reaching your fitness goals, then do that! You will be okay. I have yet to meet someone that regretted a workout after hearing their friend’s story of the previous night. No one is going to push you or take you further than yourself. All it takes is focus!
Feel the VALUE IN CONSISTENCY: You’re journey in creating a sustainable workout routine should never come to an end. Once you’ve reached one goal, you make another to consistently feel amazing - Don’t you want to feel awesome all of the time?
