Ah, the good ol’ “You need to drink more water” speech. I know some of you absolutely hate the stuff, and those that don't mind it probably don't drink nearly enough. Well, the facts are that water happens to be one of those things that you literally cannot survive without, and who would want to? Since we’re on this journey together to get you right, you’ll need to add drinking more water to your repertoire while you’re putting in that hard work, especially if you want to lose a few pounds. Your goal 65-80 ounces a day!
You can have it hot or cool, in a cup or a bottle, and if you’re daring enough...with added natural flavors from mother nature’s fruitful bounties. I’m about to show you how easy it is to incorporate drinking more water in your every day. You’ll thank yourself later when drinking water is as easy as blinking and breathing for you.
Always keep water on hand. Keeping a small disposable or reusable water bottle with you at all times isn’t hard to do and it will keep you from falling into temptation to buy that soda or juice that’s lurking in every store corner.
Do you think water is too boring and flavorless? No problem! Add fresh fruit or natural flavors (you can find these in all grocery stores) to your agua to keep your tastebuds satisfied.
Get yourself a Yeti or other aluminum bottle to enjoy cool sips of water longer since they keep liquids cold all day long. You'd be surprised how much extra water you can take down on a hot day when you have ice cold water on call.
Mark time slot goals on your water bottle so that you can hold yourself to drinking certain amounts of water each hour. Before you know it, you’ll have reached your goal for the day and soon you won’t even have to think about it. This trick does wonders at work when you're staring at the clock anyway.
EAT your water. That’s right, all your fruits and veggies have water in them. Granted eating fruits and veggies won’t be able to account for all of the water intake you need everyday, it’s fun and fulfilling to know you’re knocking out two birds with one stone by consuming your fresh from the market produce.
Make drinking water a soon-as-you-wake-up habit. It feels great getting your organs turning and ready for the start of your day. Once you get this going, add some fresh lemon juice to it for even better results.
Go one for one. Drinking more water doesn’t mean you have to cut out all other liquids - Did you drink a cup of all natural juice? Backdoor your juice with a cup of water. Think of it as the lime to your tequila.
These are my fav ways to teach myself how to drink more H20. These can definitely work for you too! How many more ways can you think of adding drinking more water to your every day?
